Seventh Grade

Welcome to 7th grade!

We read a variety of novels. We enjoy discussing and growing our reading skills. Each novel presents new characters, themes, and lessons to carry with us. Students will also do reports on books they select.

Weekly, I have one on one conferences with students. This gives me a great opportunity to know my students better as readers, their strengths and areas to offer support, and to get to learn more about their preferences. I love getting to know my students so personally.

Writing opportunities abound. We will write essays, create websites, make Google Slides presentations, use Google to save and share projects, and more. We will grow as writers by stretching our writing skills in a variety of tasks and practicing using citations to avoid plagiarism. We also write for contests in our area and nationally.

Our class also strives to serve others.  We help with lunchroom duties, provide a positive role model to younger students, serving at Mass, and making blankets for babies in the NICU at Cardinal Glennon in St. Louis, Missouri.

Please contact me at with any questions or concerns.

Thank you!
