Kindergarten and 8th grade Christmas project:  Tuesday, December 13th.  We will need a lot of drivers for this day.  We ask that no younger siblings attend on this day because we will need all of your help with the students.  STUDENTS ARE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR CHRISTMAS TOPS, OR RED AND/OR GREEN TOPS.  WE ALSO ENCOURAGE ANY TYPE OF CHRISTMAS HATS!  WE’LL BE FESTIVE!  THEY MAY ALSO WEAR JEANS.  Plans are tentative as we are not sure about lunch.  This is the tentative schedule of the day:

10:45 we will leave school and travel to the Quincy Museum for their Christmas tour, The Civil War.  11:00-12:00  We have been asked by the Quincy Museum to decorate one of their trees for the Christmas tour.  Kindergartners and 8th graders have been very busy making these decorations.  If you take a tour of the Museum this holiday season, be sure to look for our treel

12:00-1:00 We will eat lunch, either at Cassano’s or back to school.  (Not sure which one will work for us yet.  I’ll let you know for sure.)

1:00-2:00 The Kindergartners and 8th graders will shop at Walmart to purchase items for Quanada.  Quanada provides us with a list of needs for the holiday season.  Each child will be asked to donate an amount of money toward this project.  We will let you know later how much.  This project is in place of a gift exchange between K & 8.

2:00-2:30  We will deliver our purchased items to Quanada, then return to school.  Our goal of this project is to give the students an appreciation of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of helping others.
