LENTEN SERVICE PROJECT

posted Mar 8, 2017, 8:10 AM by Gary Clayton

We are participating in Project Sole Hope, which makes shoes for the children of Uganda.  The 7th grade class will be cutting out and organizing the shoe pieces.  Items we are collecting for the project include thin plastic (milk jugs, laundry soap jugs, liquid soap bottles, large soda bottles) large safety pins, denim fabric from adult or teen sized jeans with no holes, and fabric scissors (which we will be happy to return).  If you are able to donate any of these items, please send them to school.

Families are also invited to sponsor a pair of shoes for $10.00, or to donate items used for the removal of jiggers from the children’s feet:  surgical gloves, cotton balls, medical tape, antibiotic cream, gauze, band aids, or stickers to give to the children.  Any donations may be sent to the school office.  Thank you.
