SCHOOL CLOSINGS AND 2 HOUR DELAYED START REMINDER

posted Jan 10, 2015, 7:01 AM by Gary Clayton
On days when weather conditions may affect the school day, please listen to the local stations for early dismissal times and announcements of school closings.  Listen for "Quincy Public and Catholic Schools.”. Parents will also be contacted by phone through our School Reach Parent Communication System.   If you notice a missed call from us, please listen to the message that is recorded for you.

Early Dismissal Days:  Buses will be running on days when we dismiss early due to winter weather conditions.  On such days, all extra-curricular activities such as CYO sports and PMO Band will be cancelled.  Our After School Program will be in session if we feel that it is safe for our providers to travel to school and provide child care.  If the weather is severe enough to cancel after school care, we will announce that on our School Reach call message.

Procedures for 2 Hour Delays:  On dangerously cold mornings or some inclement weather days, the public and Catholic schools may choose to delay the start of the school day by 2 hours.  On these days, buses will be running on a 2 hour delay schedule and school will begin at 10:15 rather than 8:15.  There will be no before school program and no morning preschool classes.  Students not traveling by bus may begin arriving at 10:00 A.M.  There is also a chance that the menu may need to change on those days.
Again, please listen to the local stations for weather related cancellations and public schools early dismissals information and help us keep our phone lines open for emergencies
