The Quincy Catholic Schools are blessed this semester to have a Student Support and Family Liaison available for our schools to provide social-emotional support to our students.   Mrs. Catherine Bruening was hired to serve in this role through Title I funds allotted to our schools, and we are so happy to have her in our schools providing support to our students.   Catherine has been meeting with some of our classes as a whole, talking about common issues the students may be experience and exhibiting, such getting along with one another, self-esteem, anxieties, and the emotions and pressures students may experience in everyday life. Catherine is also available to meet with individual students in a one-to-one setting to listen to them and help them find strategies to deal with their emotional needs and concerns.  We are delighted to have Catherine in our school to help provided support for the social-emotional needs of our students. (NOTE:  We have a permission form for parents to sign before Catherine meets individually with a student.  If a student requests time to meet with Catherine, we will contact the parents to seek permission first.)
