Updates for February 6th – 10th
Reading
We will work
in our Guided Reading groups next week.
We will use our centers to review verbs, compound words, Spelling,
graphing, writing, and habitats.
Phonics/English/Spelling
We will
focus on compound words and one/two syllable words in Phonics. In English we will continue our unit covering
verbs by discussing verbs that tell about the present and how to use pronouns
with verbs. We will move on to unit 20
in Spelling which covers words that end with and –s or –es.
Science/Social
Studies
We will move
on to a new habitat in S.S. – oceans. We
will also discuss penguins.
Math
We will wrap
up our data and graphing chapter next week by learning about line plots and
locating points on a grid. Two key words
for next week include range (the difference between the greatest and least
number in a set of numerical information) and mode (the number that appears
most often throughout the information).
Religion
We will talk
about the loving actions that Jesus calls us to do and identify actions that
provide loving service. We will also
talk about the very important people recognized for devoting their lives to
loving service for other, or saints.
Just so you

Catholic
School’s Week was an absolute success. I
have to say the kids had a great time participating in all of the
activities. What a great way to show
pride in our school and celebrate the significance of a Catholic
education. Although I am sad to see it
end, I am thrilled to have a normal week next week! J Have a safe and enjoyable weekend!
