7th
Grade News February 3, 2012
We
all survived the week! It was so much with all the activities, but also very
tiring. We are looking forward to getting back to the routine of a regular
week.
***The
7th graders have been asked to help with Pre-K Night on Thursday the
9th from 6-7:30. If anyone can help out, let me know by Wednesday.
Thank you!
Reading—We will finish The Witch of Blackbird Pond this week.
We will conclude with a final test and then a final project. O
English—We will practice group speeches on Tuesday, and then the
speeches will be due on Wednesday. We have used lots of time this week to
practice.
Again,
spelling words are on Spellingcity.com if students lose their word lists. We
are on List #5 of Witch of Blackbird Pond. The students also have a word
list.
Just some reminders of what I expect in 7th grade:
v Complete
sentences need to start with capital letters and end with a punctuation mark.
v A word
must be spelled correctly if it is in a “wordbank”.
For example, on the Reading worksheets, all the words for the fill-ins were at
the top of the page. These words must be spelled correctly when written on the
test.
v Spelling
words need to be spelled correctly on all assignments.
v We
need to proof-read our work before we turn it in.
v If any
of these “rules” are broken, the question will be counted wrong or points will
be taken off.
Please,
please, please if you ever have any concerns, come see me immediately. Even if
it seems like something small. Or send me an email. The sooner I hear of
concerns, whether it’s with me or a student, the sooner we can take care of it.
Thanks
and have a great weekend!!!
