What a week it has been in 1st grade!! We watched the Solar Eclipse on Monday, visited the Quincy Public Library on Tuesday, and today we received the shipment of our very own books created by the entire class, and did a science experiment with white carnations! We learned about how plants use all of their parts to help them grow and live! ❤️❤️

Today first grade finished a class book that we have been writing together! I sent off all of our final pages to be published into a real book! 📖📖🙂🙂 We are so excited about our book, and to top it off we had a real live author (Ron Kinsherf) come into our classroom and read to us. He told us how he creates ideas for books and how he writes his books! Each child even received an autographed copy of a book written by him (compliments of Quincy Recycle)! ♻️♻️ Thanks, Ron!! 😀😀
