First grade loved their art project with Miss Becky this afternoon. We made bookmarks and postcards of nature scenes and thought about God telling us to think about lovely things. We created something very lovely today as a class. 🎨🖌️🖼️💕💕

The first graders released a beautiful female monarch butterfly this afternoon! We named her DJ Josie Rose Sunshine! 🦋☀️ Today is the feast day of St. Joseph of Cupertino which is where the name Josie came from! Saint Joseph of Cupertino was known to levitate at times of deep prayer. We think it's pretty amazing that our butterfly emerged from her chrysalis today on this special feast day! 😍😍 St. Joseph of Cupertino, pray for us.

Thanks to the Community Foundation for hands on visual arts lessons with Ms. Becky. We used our Bible verse to meditate on what is lovely and use wet on wet watercolor techniques.
