Happy Veterans Day! Today St. Dominic School performed a musical Veterans Day Program to show respect for those who served in the United States Armed Services. We honored and gave thanks to our Veterans for their bravery, sacrifice, dedication, and service to our country. May God bless our Veterans!
The 4-year-old preschool class enjoyed a fun Halloween party today with a craft, treats and games! (Thanks to our parents who helped make it happen!) We also got to parade through the hallway in our costumes for the big kids. What a fun day in 4YO pre-k!
1st Grade had a blast for the 50th Day of school today!! We had a sock hop and 50 second challenges throughout the day! Check the St. Dominic Facebook page for a couple short videos!

Art contest: Top piece in the diocese for 5-6th grade and 7-8th grade categories.

8th grade is at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Springfield today to celebrate the Missions Mass with schools across our diocese. Grateful for a safe trip so far!

1st grade went to Mill Creek Pumpkin Patch today to learn ALL about how a pumpkin grows and everyone got a pumpkin and a gourd! We had a nice tractor hay ride, too! 🎃🎃❤️❤️

Miss Becky is teaching our students about how to create values of a color to show the way the light hits a pumpkin in their paintings this week. We love having her expertise! Thank you to Arts Quincy for the grant to make this hands on art in our classrooms possible.
Today Grade 3 and Grade 5 got to visit the Quincy Fire Department Smoke House to learn how to get out of their house safely in case of a fire.
Our 8th Grade Class went to Mass together at St. Anthony and left on their class trip to Washington D.C. May God bless them and keep them safe this week while they see and learn about many amazing historical places in our country.

Middle school got to watch the Spacex rocket launch live on the smartboard in Miss Glidewell’s room this morning. Grateful for a successful launch!
On Tuesday, October 4, we will celebrate #BeLikeGrace Day by wearing red tops. St Dominic’s nature classroom is dedicated as A Place for Grace in memory of Grace Shell who attended our school. Grace is a child of God who shared His love with others through her joyful attitude.
