lent is the autumn of the spiritual life
Join the discussion as the Quincy Catholic Elementary Schools Leadership Team presents a proposal for the future of Catholic education in Quincy. The team will offer four listening sessions where attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback, pose questions for consideration, or share ideas that the team will use to inform its next steps. The sessions are open to all. You do not need to be a parishioner or have students at the school to attend at a specific location. For a list of session dates, times and locations, please visit https://www.quincycatholicschools.org/listening-sessions.html

6th grade enjoyed learning about how important the Silk Road was to the Ancient Chinese civilization. They really enjoyed traveling from city to city to trade and purchase goods from each other!

It is so wonderful watching our students be servant leaders who share their talents and time to help others and to help each other learn.

Becky Hoskins is doing different shoe themed art projects with our school this year to go along with our Bible verse for the year. The kids have made shoe prints, laced 3D shoes, and built shoe models out of paper. A big thank you to a grant from Arts Quincy for making this possible!

Last year on the 100th birthday of Father Irenaeus a St. Dominic Tuition Scholarship Fund in his name was established. So many of you lovingly and generously donated to- ward this special birthday gift that gave him so much joy and will continue to honor him for years to come as yearly tuition scholarships are awarded. We hope to begin awarding the St. Dominic tuition scholarships in time for the 2022- 2023 school year. Anyone may make a donation at any time to this scholarship fund, but Fr. Irenaeus’s 101st birthday is on April 9th. The parish and finance councils would like to invite every- one to make a donation as a Birthday Gift to him. The weekend of April 3rd there will be a second collection at each of the weekend masses for everyone to participate by donat- ing any size gift you would like to give. Please place your monetary gift in the second col- lection. Birthday cards will be available in the vestibule or you may bring your own card to wish him “Happy Birthday”. The birthday cards will be presented to him on April 10th.
